Preserve the voice
Hand-drawn forms, expressive typography, and irreverent feedback kept the product connected to the source material.
MEDL Mobile · 2016–2019
At MEDL, I designed mobile apps, interactive stories, brand identities, and responsive websites. My work stretched from early concepts and illustration to polished interfaces ready for development.

The opportunity
MEDL worked with clients across entertainment, fitness, immersive media, and consumer products. Each project needed a distinct personality, but it also had to function as a real product people could understand and enjoy.
I moved between concept development, interaction design, branding, illustration, prototyping, and production support. These projects show how I adapted that range to very different audiences and business goals.
01 · Flagship mobile experience
A running game that brought a beloved comic universe to life through playful controls, character-driven feedback, and a visual style that felt true to the original work.

I designed the environments, characters, collectibles, progress feedback, and controls to feel like parts of the same playful world.
Hand-drawn forms, expressive typography, and irreverent feedback kept the product connected to the source material.
Milestones, notifications, and failure states became character moments—not generic system messages.
Reusable visual rules helped a large set of characters, states, and promotional assets feel like one product.

02 · Integrated web system
A responsive marketing experience that helped prospective trainers understand the program, compare course options, and take the next step.

How it worked
I kept the visual direction flexible across landing pages, pricing, and lead forms while making course options and calls to action easy to scan.

03 · Scalable illustration
A colorful identity and growing library of food illustrations designed to feel recognizable wherever the brand appeared.

Supporting range
An interactive children's story combining editorial illustration, expressive character design, and a tablet-first reading experience.

What this work demonstrates
This work taught me how to set a clear visual direction, turn it into repeatable rules, and stay close to implementation so the final product kept the personality we designed for it.
